Job summary

Howden Group invites applications for a 10-week Actuarial Summer Internship in London. You will join the Actuarial team and work on data analysis, risk pricing, model development, and client reporting. The role offers hands-on exposure to the full actuarial lifecycle and client engagement.

You'll gain experience with Python, R and VBA while collaborating with experienced specialists to turn data into actionable insights for risk management and decision making.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year in a numerate degree (Maths/Stats/Physics/Engineering/Economics or related).
• A-level Mathematics grade A or above; right to work in the UK.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to translate complex information for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Data analysis of large datasets to deliver insights for client projects.
• Learn how (re)insurance works and how risk is priced, transferred, and managed.
• Support development of actuarial models and simulations.
• Prepare client-ready presentations and reports.
• Attend client meetings to gain exposure to the actuarial lifecycle.
