Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking an Activity Coordinator for Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson. The role runs 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5pm, helping patients access activities and participate in therapy programmes within a secure mental health environment.

You will contribute to interdisciplinary team activities, plan and implement therapy programmes, and promote recovery-focused care for service users. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well maintaining any pre-existing hobbies
• Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained
• Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner

We are looking for a highly motivated Activity Coordinator to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson.

You'll be working 40 hours per week ( Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm) making a real positive difference to the lives of people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson.

Cygnet Bury Hudson provides a wide range of secure mental health services for men including individuals with a diagnosis of personality disorder.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

Your Day-to-Day

• Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
• Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained
• Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner

We're looking for someone who has:
