Cygnet Cedars in Birmingham is seeking an Activity Co-ordinator to plan and deliver meaningful therapeutic, recreational and wellbeing activities for men in our care, working with the Occupational Therapist and wider team.
The role offers full-time hours (42 per week, Mon-Fri 8:30am to 4:30pm) with on-site support, CPD opportunities, a pension, and a meal on shift, supporting recovery, independence and social inclusion.

You will help plan and deliver meaningful activities that support independence, wellbeing, recovery and daily living skills for the men in our care.
The successful candidate will work 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Cygnet Cedars is a 23-bed high dependency complex care service for men with learning disabilities, associated complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
The service accepts emergency referrals, with an experienced team who manage transitions quickly, safely and efficiently to ensure each individual's move into the service is as smooth as possible.
Cygnet Cedars also includes two step-down single occupancy flats, each with its own lounge, kitchen, en-suite bedroom and front door. These flats provide an important opportunity for individuals to develop daily living skills, independence, confidence and community integration as part of their care pathway.
As an Activity Co-ordinator at Cygnet Cedars, you will support and enhance the care of individuals at the service by working closely with the Occupational Therapist and wider interdisciplinary team.
You will help plan, deliver and promote a wide range of therapeutic, recreational, social and wellbeing activities that are meaningful, safe and person-centred.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and academically strong candidate who can bring creativity, structure and compassion to the role.
The role may suit someone with experience as an Activity Co-ordinator, Activities Coordinator, Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Mental Health Support Worker, Activities Worker or Social Care Worker.
