This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for healthcare, mental health, learning disabilities, occupational therapy support, therapeutic activities and social inclusion. You will help plan and deliver meaningful activities that support independence, wellbeing, recovery and daily living skills for the men in our care. The successful candidate will work 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Cygnet Cedars is a 23-bed high dependency complex care service for men with learning disabilities, associated complex needs and behaviours that may challenge. The service accepts emergency referrals, with an experienced team who manage transitions quickly, safely and efficiently to ensure each individual's move into the service is as smooth as possible. Cygnet Cedars also includes two step-down single occupancy flats, each with its own lounge, kitchen, en-suite bedroom and front door. These flats provide an important opportunity for individuals to develop daily living skills, independence, confidence and community integration as part of their care pathway.

As an Activity Co-ordinator at Cygnet Cedars, you will support and enhance the care of individuals at the service by working closely with the Occupational Therapist and wider interdisciplinary team. You will help plan, deliver and promote a wide range of therapeutic, recreational, social and wellbeing activities that are meaningful, safe and person-centred.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
