Job summary

Cygnet Raglan House is seeking an Activity Co-ordinator to support the care of patients and assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and delivering therapy activities at a 25-bed high-support inpatient service for women.

The role is 42 hours per week, from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with DBS checks required for successful candidates. The service focuses on recovery-oriented rehabilitation and social inclusion within a Safe and nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare settings.
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
• Creative flair and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
• Awareness of recovery approaches is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and delivering therapy activities.
• Support and enhance patient care by encouraging participation in activities.
• Help organise and facilitate events and activities in a safe manner.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an Activity Co-ordinator to join our team at Cygnet Raglan House.

The successful candidate will be working 42 hours per week. Working from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM - Monday to Friday.

Cygnet Raglan House is a 25 bed high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for women. The service is designed to provide an environment that promotes mental health recovery by focusing on space, personal privacy and dignity. Women admitted to the service often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.

We are dedicated to understand, stabilise and break the traumatic cycles of relapse that can impact individuals' lives. Our service has been designed with wellness in mind, providing a safe and comfortable environment that promotes efficient rehabilitation and recovery.

Your Day-to-Day at Cygnet Raglan House:

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the care of patients at the service by assisting the Occupational Therapist with:

• Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities, as well as maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
• Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained
• Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner

We're looking for someone who has

• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)
