Job summary

Cygnet in Dundee is seeking an outstanding Activities Coordinator to plan and oversee engaging activities for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. You’ll lead events, provide supportive leisure time, and supervise staff at Thistle House. An PVG check is required and weekend work may occur.

We are looking for an outstanding Activities Coordinator with a passion for delivering excellent care.

You’ll be working 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, and occasional weekends) at Thistle House.

Thistle House is a care home with nursing for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those with mental health or physical health needs. We provide specialist nursing care and support that is tailored to individual needs, promoting independence, community integration and preparing them for their own tenancies.

Your day-to-day
  • Develop, plan, implement & oversee activities, outings & events for the people in our care
  • Provide fun & constructive leisure time, as well as appropriate physical & emotional support
  • Ensure the provision of staff, space & materials for all activities
  • Supervise, oversee & develop colleagues
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials for events

  • Hourly rate £13.84 per hour rising to £13.99 after 3 months service. Further rising to £14.24 after 18 months service
