A regional healthcare organization in Dunfermline seeks an Activity and Therapeutic Support Worker. The ideal candidate will plan and deliver activities to enhance the mental and physical well-being of patients in a low secure forensic environment. Strong communication and organizational skills, along with a trauma-informed approach, are essential. This role offers full and part-time hours across seven days. Daleview is a regional low secure forensic environment which can provide accommodation to 10 males with a learning disability. The regional component reflects that the unit is funded by the Four Health board areas that form the learning disability, Managed Care Network, NHS Borders, NHS Forth Valley, NHS Fife and NHS Lothian. Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a highly enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Activity and Therapeutic Support Worker.
Daleview is looking for an Activity and Therapeutic Support Worker to plan, organise and deliver a programme of activities in-house and within the community. The role requires a creative and resourceful, trauma‑informed practitioner who is a strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. The applicant will feel confident in providing a wide range of activities to interest and stimulate the physical and mental well‑being of this patient group, promote social inclusion and independence, and motivate, guide and engage patients in activity programmes using risk‑focused approaches.
• Must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
• Must be a trauma‑informed practitioner with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to provide a wide range of activities to promote physical and mental well‑being in a forensic setting.
• Must hold the legal right to work in the United Kingdom or have a valid visa status that allows work in the UK.
Full and Part‑Time hours available across seven days.
