Job summary

Leonard Cheshire in Bromley is seeking an Activities Worker for St Cecilia's, an occasional hours role to support the service with sickness and annual leave cover.

You will plan, organise and deliver social and recreational activities, act as escort/driver if needed, and work with volunteers to create inclusive, person-centred experiences.

You’ll need a full, clean UK driving licence if driving is required, plus a compassionate, flexible approach and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities or social care roles, supporting people with disabilities.
• Level 2 Activities qualification (or working towards) advantageous.
• Full, clean driving licence if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and deliver social and recreational activities that enhance daily living.
• Support customers to explore new hobbies, interests, and outings.
• Act as escort/driver for outings when required.
• Work with volunteers and other team members to ensure inclusive, person-centred experiences.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing for each customer.

Our St Cecilia's service is home to up to thirty adults with learning/physical disabilities. Our service feels like family – relaxed, supportive, and centred around the people who live here. Every day brings new moments to celebrate: from small wins in independence to big laughs over mealtimes.
