Job summary

St James’ Park Care Home in Bradpole near Bridport (Dorset) is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead a varied programme of group and 1:1 activities, tailored to residents’ interests and care needs.

You will build strong relationships, support wellbeing and social engagement for residents, including those living with dementia, and work as part of a friendly team with training and development opportunities.

About St James’ Park Care Home

St James’ Park Care Home is a 31 bed care home located in the charming village of Bradpole, near Bridport in Dorset. Providing residential and nursing care, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment where colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

• £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
• Contracted to 16 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
