Job summary

Bearehill Care Home in Brechin is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life with engaging, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction.

You will plan group and one-to-one activities, tailoring sessions to each resident's interests and needs, while working with the team to create a warm, inclusive environment for all, including those living with dementia.

Qualifications

  • Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
  • A genuine interest in supporting older people.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in activities or similar role is beneficial.
  • Transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work encouraged.

Salary: £13.08 Per Hour

Bearehill Care Home is a beautiful Georgian mansion in the charming town of Brechin, surrounded by tranquil gardens and scenic wildlife. The home provides high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 49 residents. With its sunny conservatory, sensory garden, freshly prepared meals and warm, homely atmosphere, it is a place where residents are supported to live well and feel truly valued.

  • £13.08 per hour
  • Contracted to 30 hours per week
  • Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
