Job summary

Harrier Grange Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging activities for residents, promoting wellbeing and social interaction. Training and support are provided for those new to care.

You will work in a warm, inclusive environment with a creative programme tailored to individual needs, including residents with dementia, under a supportive team structure.

Qualifications

  • Experience in activities or related roles is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities for residents.
  • Provide a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
  • Tailor activities to individual interests and needs.
  • Build relationships to support inclusive participation, including with those living with dementia.
  • Work as part of the care team to create a positive environment.

Job description

Our private care facility in Hampshire offers Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care, providing an enriched and fulfilling lifestyle for up to 66-residents in a warm and supportive environment.

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 36 hours per week - shift pattern listed below
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia. Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

Week 1
  • Monday - 9am-5pm
  • Tuesday - 9am-4pm
  • Wednesday - 12:30pm-7:30pm
  • Thursday - 9am-4pm
  • Friday - 9am-4pm
  • Saturday - off day
  • Sunday - off day
Week 2
  • Monday - off day
  • Tuesday - 9am-5pm
  • Wednesday - 9am-4pm
  • Thursday - 9am-4pm
  • Friday - 9am-4pm
  • Saturday - 9am-4pm
  • Sunday - off day
What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply
