Job summary

Penrose Care Home in Biggleswade is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging, person-centred activities for up to 65 residents, including those living with dementia.

You will work with the care team to tailor group and 1:1 activities, build relationships, and promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. Training and support are provided to help you develop in the role.

Qualifications

Job description

Situated in the residential area of Kings Reach in the market town of Biggleswade, our private, luxury care home offers several types of care for up to 65 residents.

• £14.60 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centered activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
