Job summary

Pilgrims’ Friend Society in Leicester is seeking an Activities and Community Engagement Facilitator to connect with residents, churches and local groups, planning welcoming activities and events.

This full-time role emphasizes public speaking and community outreach, with a focus on building relationships with volunteers and families to enrich daily life at the Evington Home.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be evangelical Christians (This role has an Occupational Requirement to be filled by a Christian under the Equality Act 2010).
• Experience engaging with local churches and community groups preferred.
• Willingness to lead volunteers and organize events.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with local Churches by sending out regular Newsletters.
• Visiting and presenting to the community and local churches.
• Building relationships with local ministers, pastors, vicars, etc.
• Organising and facilitating special events and outings.
• Leading a team of volunteers.
• Creating monthly activities for residents.
• Co-ordinating and facilitating activities for the family members.
• Engaging with the wider community by organising community coffee mornings, Summer Fayres, open days.

TheEvington Homeis about three miles from Leicester city centreandoffers residential care, as well as providingdementia care.The Evington Home has 30 rooms, the majority of which have either garden or park views. See our beautiful home here .

Hours:

Full-time contract: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
