We are recruiting a friendly, enthusiastic and creative Activities Coordinator to join a welcoming, luxury 20-bed residential care home for elderly residents, located in the heart of Eastbourne.
This is a small, stand-alone care home offering a warm, homely and comfortable environment, where residents' individual needs, interests, dignity and wellbeing are at the heart of everything the team does.
As Activities Coordinator, you will play an important role in enhancing residents' quality of life by planning and delivering a varied programme of engaging, enjoyable and meaningful activities. You will encourage residents to remain active, socially connected and involved in activities that reflect their individual interests, abilities and preferences.
From arts and crafts, music and reminiscence sessions to games, themed events and seasonal celebrations, you will help create a lively and stimulating environment where residents can enjoy themselves, build friendships and make the most of each day.
The role offers 22 hours per week, with a basic rota of four weekdays per week, working 5.5 hours per day. Typical shifts will be either 9:30am-3:00pm or 10:00am-3:30pm.
Although the regular working pattern is during the week, flexibility is essential, as you will occasionally be required to work weekends to support special occasions, celebrations and events within the home.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with older people and enjoys bringing creativity, energy and companionship into their daily lives.
