Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering daily activities and events that are stimulating and enjoyable for residents.
  • Organising group activities, entertainment, and seasonal events within the home.
  • Arranging community engagement and outings where appropriate.
  • Encouraging residents to participate in activities that support wellbeing and independence.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Supporting residents with emotional wellbeing and companionship.
  • Maintaining records of activities and resident participation.
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure activities are person-centred and inclusive.

  • Creativity and the ability to organise enjoyable activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with older people, including those living with dementia.
  • The ability to motivate and encourage residents to take part in activities.

Previous experience in activities coordination or working in a care environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Requirements
  • Experience in a care home or similar environment is desirable.
  • Passion for supporting the wellbeing of elderly residents.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Qualifications
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Previous experience in activity coordination or recreational programmes is desirable.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation.
Rewards and Benefits

In return for your dedication, we offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including:

  • Free training and development opportunities
  • Wellbeing and employee support resources
  • Employee of the Month recognition
  • Long Service Awards
  • Opportunities for career progression
