Job summary

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust in Glasgow is seeking a Project Officer to support schools and Local Authorities across Scotland to increase active travel, such as walking, wheeling and cycling. You’ll deliver behaviour change projects, plan and run tools and initiatives, and build strong relationships with schools and councils to support these efforts.

The role requires at least three years’ experience with community groups, knowledge of active travel and the ability to run workshops and projects with

Qualifications

• 3 years’ work experience including experience working with community groups.
• Knowledge of active travel (walking, wheeling and cycling) and understanding barriers faced by underrepresented communities.
• Experience delivering workshops, presentations and project work with clear communication and collaboration.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and workload management skills.
• Ability to work to keep children, young people and adults at risk safe.

Responsibilities

• Deliver behaviour change and engagement projects that encourage active travel.
• Plan, organise and deliver tools and projects that support partners to encourage more walking, wheeling and cycling.
• Build effective working relationships with schools, community groups and local authorities to support these projects.
