Job summary

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust in Glasgow is seeking a Project Manager to lead engagement and behaviour change initiatives within infrastructure projects. You will manage budgets, coordinate with stakeholders across the Strathclyde region, and help ensure equitable access as people walk, wheel and cycle.

Salary: £33,265 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)

Base: Glasgow, with travel expected across the Strathclyde region.

Contract: Permanent

Disclosure: Basic/Enhanced/ DBS is required for this position as the post holder will be working with school and community groups in the region.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Team: Active Journeys Scotland

As a Project Manager, you’ll be playing a key role in delivering projects designed to help people walk, wheel and cycle and get better access to their local services. You will lead on engagement and behaviour change projects in an infrastructure setting, managing budgets, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Plan and deliver workshops and events with the local community.
  • Build and maintain impactful relationships with key local stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Manage project budgets, as delegated by line manager.
  • Provide specialist engagement and behaviour change advice, and guidance in the context of infrastructure and/or built environment projects
  • Review proposals, including technical plans, supported by design and engineering colleagues
  • This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about place, the built environment and equity and enjoys multitasking and managing multiple projects with diverse requirements.

  • The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults at risk.
