Job summary

Royal Mail Group is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Ilford for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will sort mail, deliver by van and on foot, and build customer relationships in your local area, working a 30-hour week across five days with a 06:00–22:00 schedule and weekend work.

Full manual UK driving licence required, plus willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
