Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Billericay is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a 37-hour week, with a rota that includes weekends. The role involves driving a Royal Mail van and walking routes in all weather, with full training provided.

You will sort mail, build customer relationships, and work outdoors, contributing to timely deliveries and excellent service for the community.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated, with strong organisation and resilience

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
