Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Canterbury is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors.

You’ll work a rotating shift with weekends and overtime. A full manual UK driving licence is required, and you must be willing to drive a Royal Mail van daily.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full manual UK driving licence.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated in a busy environment.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a changing workload.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
