Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Reigate is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area, following a rotating schedule that includes weekends.

You’ll be active outdoors, walk long distances, and complete a driving assessment after training. A full manual UK licence is required, and you’ll receive a uniform and support, with 37 hours per week and monthly pay reflecting overtime.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
