Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to sort letters and parcels, then deliver by van and on foot in Forest Gate. You will work on a rotating schedule, including weekends, with training provided.

Role requires a full UK driving licence, fitness to walk long distances, and the ability to work outdoors in all weathers. Benefits and overtime are available, with a 9-month fixed-term contract for this posting.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required; maximum 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.
