Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Basingstoke is seeking a Delivery Driver (Postie) to deliver letters and parcels on a 35-hour week, across a rotating schedule including weekends. You’ll be active, outdoors, and deliver a high standard of service in the local area.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, willingness to drive a Royal Mail van, and the ability to pass a driving assessment. Training and a uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) and be willing to drive a Royal Mail van.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and work in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently in a busy post-delivery environment.
• Good organisational skills and a focus on delivering great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers.
