Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Linlithgow is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join on a fixed-term contract for 9 months. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, working 35 hours per week on a rotating schedule that includes weekends.

You’ll be trained, issued a uniform and a red Royal Mail van, and you’ll serve the community outdoors, whatever the weather, with overtime available and a focus on great service.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walking distances and lifting mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors.
• Work in all weather conditions on a rotating shift.
