Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Epsom for a fixed-term 9-month contract. The role offers 30 hours per week across 5 days, with shifts starting as early as 7am and finishing as late as 8pm.

You will deliver letters and parcels, work outdoors, and represent the Royal Mail in the local community. You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) and be willing to work Sundays on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (minimum 6 penalty points) and ability to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot within the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and provide excellent service.
• Work outdoors and independently in a fast-paced environment.
