Job summary

Royal Mail in Diss is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 10-month contract. You will sort and deliver letters and parcels, work outdoors, and build customer relationships across a 5-days-in-7 rota (Tue-Sat). Training is provided and your rota may vary with demand.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, physical fitness for long walks and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags, and reliability with a self-motivated mindset. Overtime is paid, and a uniform and van are provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment
• Physically fit for long walks and lifting 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
