Job summary

Royal Mail in Yate is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will handle letters and parcels, delivering by van or on foot across your local area, on a rotating shift including weekends.

You\'ll work 30 hours per week, 9:00-15:00, with training provided and a benefits package including pension and wellbeing support. Physical outdoor work and customer-facing duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances with 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and customer-focused.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
