Job summary

Royal Mail Royston Delivery Office is seeking a Postie to deliver letters and parcels on a fixed-term 9‑month contract. The role involves a 30-hour week across Monday to Sunday, with weekend work and a driving requirement for a manual UK licence. You will sort mail, deliver by van and on foot, and engage with customers in all weathers.

You'll work a rotating shift schedule and may undertake driving assessments. Overtime is available, and you will be supported by a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (with up to 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
