Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Banff is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels as part of a 35-hour week. You’ll work on a rotating shift, including Sundays, with an on-site delivery office in Banff.

Training is provided, and you’ll receive a uniform and a Royal Mail van to operate daily. The role requires a full manual UK driving licence (points limit apply), the ability to pass a driving assessment, and physical fitness to walk long distances while carrying mail bags.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
