Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Strathcarron is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver letters and parcels in your local area, using a Royal Mail van and your feet, on a rotating schedule.

You will need a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk long distances, and pass a driving assessment. You’ll work outdoors in all weathers and build relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service and comfort working outdoors

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
