Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Inverness is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels from the Inverness Delivery Office. The role is permanent with a 30-hour week, scheduled across Monday to Saturday, with some weekends and a rotating rota.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van. You must hold a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit, and enjoy working outdoors while delivering great service to the community.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
