Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Coventry for a fixed-term 10-month contract. The role involves delivering letters and parcels, sorting at the delivery office, and working a rotating schedule including weekends.

Expect outdoor work, a 30-hour week, and 30,4 hours of rostered shifts across days. You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence, be able to pass a driving assessment, and stay active in all weather while serving the community.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+.
• Reliable and self-motivated with good organisation.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in Coventry.
• Build relationships with customers and communities.
• Work outdoors in all weather and as part of a rotating shift.
