Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Sale is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract. You will sort and deliver letters and parcels in your local area, building trust with customers while staying active outdoors.

Working 30 hours per week on a rotating shift, including weekends, you’ll drive a Royal Mail van, walk when needed, and receive full training, a uniform, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (minimum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment
• Physically fit for long distances, stairs/hills, lifting 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Strong organisation and resilience for routine, structure and variety

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weather
