Job summary

Royal Mail Group in West Bromwich is seeking a Postal Delivery Driver (Postie) for a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will work 30 hours per week, including weekends, delivering letters and parcels in your local area and earning £13.68 per hour with paid overtime.

You will be outdoors in all weather, walking long distances, and building relationships with customers while following a rotating shift pattern across Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
• Deliver high volumes of parcels, especially in peak periods.
