Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Wilmslow is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed term 10-month contract. You’ll earn £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) plus overtime, with 37 hours per week across 5 days in 7 and weekend shifts.

Training is provided and you’ll drive a Royal Mail van delivering letters and parcels in your local area. Expect outdoors, physical activity, and a friendly, community-focused role.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated with good organisation and resilience.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
