Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie for the Bordon Delivery Office (GU35 0HH). This 9-month fixed-term contract covers 37 hours per week across five days in seven, with shifts 07:30-15:00 or 12:00-20:00 and some weekend work, including Sundays.

You’ll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, building relationships with customers in all weathers. Applicants must hold a full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points) and be willing to pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances.
• Reliable and self-motivated in a busy outdoor role.
• Strong organisation and resilience with great customer focus.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and communities.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and on a consistent schedule.
• Deliver a high volume of mail, especially during peak periods.
