Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Stroud is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join our delivery team. You will sort letters and parcels, and deliver by van and on foot in your local area, building strong relationships with customers.

The role is outdoors, involves a rotating shift and weekend work, and requires a full UK manual driving licence plus a driving assessment. Training, a uniform, and a permanent contract are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit for long walks, stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers
• Work on a rotating shift schedule with some weekend work
