Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join The Hyde delivery office on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will sort letters and parcels and deliver by van or on foot, building relationships with customers while working outdoors across a 30-hour week and a rotating shift that includes Sundays.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van. A full UK driving licence is required, with up to 6 penalty points, and you must be physically capable of walking long

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
• Able to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
