Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Northwood for a fixed-term role of 6 months. The position offers 30 hours per week across a 5-in-7 rota, typically 08:50–14:50 or 09:30–15:20, with a starting pay of £16.24 per hour plus paid overtime. You will sort mail, deliver by van and on foot, and engage with customers in all weather conditions.

Full training and a uniform are provided. It’s a physically demanding role that requires a full UK driving licence and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.
