Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 6‑month contract. You will work a 30-hour week, with 5 days in 7, 14:00–20:00, and earning £13.68 per hour plus overtime.

You’ll deliver letters and parcels, walk long distances, and engage with customers in the local community. Full training is provided; you must have a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit, and able to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walking distances and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
