Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie in St Leonards On Sea to deliver letters and parcels across a rotating shift, including weekends. You’ll drive a Royal Mail van and walk routes, meeting customers and working outdoors in all weather.

Full training is provided; a driving assessment is required, and a physically active role is offered with structured hours. The role includes 30-hour weeks, with overtime opportunities and a supportive pension/benefits package.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van.
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in busy environments.
• Customer-focused and able to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
