Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Stevenage is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract to sort letters, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers in the local community.

The role is active and outdoors, with weekend work and a rotating shift. You must hold a full manual UK driving licence and be comfortable driving a Royal Mail van. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Be willing to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Be physically fit to walk long distances and lift mailbags.
• Be reliable, self-motivated and well organised.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
