Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Halifax is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to sort and deliver letters and parcels, building strong customer relationships in the community. The role is outdoors, physically active, and requires reliable, self-motivated individuals with a full manual UK driving licence.

You will work a 30-hour week across five days in seven, including Sundays on a rotating schedule. Overtime is paid, and a range of benefits applies depending on contract length and start date.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well-organised for a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors.
