Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) is seeking a Female Support Worker in Cumnock, Scotland for a permanent, part-time role of 15 hours per week. The position pays £13.45 per hour and wages are paid every four weeks.

You will support a young woman with learning disabilities and a sight impairment to socialise in the community, help with activities such as swimming and bowling, and provide companionship. A six-month probation applies and PVG checks plus references are required.

Responsibilities

• Support the person to engage in community life and activities as directed by family.
• Assist with occasional personal care tasks while out.
• Be flexible and align activities with the person’s choices.
• Work evenings or weekends as needed to support interests.
• Use the bus pass for outings and social activities.
• Provide companionship in the home when required.
