Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) is seeking a Female Support Worker in Cumnock, Scotland for a permanent, part-time role of 15 hours per week. The position pays £13.45 per hour and wages are paid every four weeks.
You will support a young woman with learning disabilities and a sight impairment to socialise in the community, help with activities such as swimming and bowling, and provide companionship. A six-month probation applies and PVG checks plus references are required.

Female Support Worker to a young lady who is 20 and lives in Cumnock, East Ayrshire.
Job Purpose: To support a young lady who has learning disabilities with a sight impairment to socialise within her community. She loves swimming, bowling, outdoor activities, music, dancing.
You will be employed by a personal employer, who will be assisted to administer payroll and undertake the necessary employment support responsibilities by a relevant support organisation.
Demonstrable experience of supporting people to fulfil their potential and have active lives.
An understanding of how to support and facilitate in a way that empowers the person.
Good interpersonal skills and values reflecting social inclusion.
Excellent and effective communication skills.
Excellent listening skills.
Good organisational skills.
Working knowledge of good person-centred practice.
Can draw on lived experience of positively supporting someone as a peer or similar.
Can engage effectively and work in partnership with others.
Have supported people to achieve positive outcomes in their life.

She is looking for someone with a good sense of humour, down to earth, likes a good blether and a bit of banter but is also a good listener.
The person should be good at connecting into community activities and making contacts/networks. Wide experience of community activities.
You must be physically healthy and have a good sense of humour, be flexible and reliable.
Annual leave: 5.6 weeks paid annual leave pro rate for contracted staff.
