Job summary

Free-Work UK is seeking a PMO Planner with active DV clearance to develop, maintain and assure integrated schedules for complex programmes. You will establish baselines, monitor progress, and produce governance dashboards, ensuring alignment with master programme plans and project schedules.

The role requires advanced Microsoft Project and Excel skills, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in PMO planning or scheduling for complex programmes.
• Strong understanding of programme and project lifecycle planning.
• Experience maintaining integrated schedules across multiple projects.
• Advanced knowledge of planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Advanced Excel skills with PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience using SharePoint and programme document repositories.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organised, proactive, collaborative and delivery-focused.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and assure integrated project and programme schedules.
• Establish and manage baseline plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Maintain alignment between master programme plans and individual project schedules.
• Monitor schedule performance, identifying variances, slippage, risks, and dependencies.
• Produce planning metrics, dashboards, and reporting for governance forums and customer reviews.
• Support schedule assurance activities, health checks, and internal reviews.
• Promote planning best practice and ensure governance and contractual compliance.
• Support recovery planning and continuous improvement of planning processes, templates, and tools.
• Provide planning expertise and constructive challenge to Project and Programme Managers.
