Job summary

Project Freelance is seeking a PMO Planner in the United Kingdom. The role requires Active DV Clearance and involves developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, managing baselines, dependencies and critical paths, and delivering governance-ready metrics and reports.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PMO planning, strong skills in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, plus excellent stakeholder communication and organisational abilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a PMO planning or scheduling role supporting complex programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and assure integrated project and programme schedules.
• Establish and manage baseline plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Maintain alignment between master programme plans and individual project schedules.
• Monitor schedule performance, identifying variances, slippage, risks, and dependencies.
• Produce planning metrics, dashboards, and reporting for governance forums and customer reviews.
• Support schedule assurance activities, health checks, and internal reviews.
• Promote planning best practice and ensure compliance with governance and contractual requirements.
• Support recovery planning and continuous improvement of planning processes, templates, and tools.
• Provide planning expertise and constructive challenge to Project and Programme Managers.
