Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of the service in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine while walking parts of your route and driving a Royal Mail van.

Applicants should hold a full, manual UK driving licence with ≤6 points and be prepared for long walking periods and occasional heavy mailbags. Shifts vary and reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16 kg.
• Shifts can vary; must be flexible and able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels in all weather.
• Drive rounds and deliver items; may include walking sections of your route.
• Handle election materials and restricted items in line with policy and safety standards.
