Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of Royal Mail, delivering letters and parcels across your local area with a mix of driving and on-foot delivery.

The role requires a full, manual UK driving licence, the ability to walk long distances and lift up to 16kg. Shifts vary, and a driving assessment is required on start. Pay rates are provided per shift.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your delivery area, ensuring items reach their destination safely.
• Drive a Royal Mail van as part of your round and complete parts of your route on foot.
• Handle election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards.
