Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels on a set route with a mix of driving and walking.

Shifts vary and require a full UK driving licence with up to 6 points and the ability to walk long distances daily. A driving assessment will be required on start, with opportunities for permanent roles over time.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to walk up to 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16 kg.
• Flexible and adaptable to varying shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your community on a Royal Mail route.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and deliver items safely, including some on foot.
• Pass a driving assessment before start and work flexibly as shifts vary.
